<furl:clipping>uClinux is a special port of the Linux kernel that supports CPUs without a memory-management unit. Other than that, it&#226;&#8364;&#8482;s basically a full-featured Linux kernel, including filesystem support for FAT32 and HFS , TCP/IP networking, and Fire Wire, all with a nice Unix API.</furl:clipping>

<furl:clipping>In Kenzo first rezzed on Dec. 1, 2005, for World AIDS Day. In premiered a video produced on living a life of art and positive love in Thailand with the Global Peace Tiles Project as part of a larger event for AIDS education. In Kenzo is a play on words: in English, we call the simple circle Zen ink brushstroke ENSO, so the Ink Enso (In Kenzo) became everything and nothing in the virtual world.</furl:clipping>

<description>this is an article written 7 years ago when Thailand was just recovering from its financial crisis - i was on the better side of the deal at the time (US$1 to 25 baht!) and it's interesting to be a leader in ICT and look at this in retrospect now that I've lived here for over 3 years...</description>

      <category>Thailand</category>
<furl:clipping>Having gone through over twenty months of economic crisis, Thailand has learned many lessons. Thailand can no longer be competitive through low cost labour or profit through the consumption of unrenewable natural resources. We need to be less dependent on foreign parties in marketing, and financing; we will have to use more local contents (including more local intellectual properties), efficient management systems and lower financing cost. Thailand must prepare its human resources to be ready when the economic has come back in order to be competitive in the long run.</furl:clipping>

<furl:clipping>Top priorities for the CID are now:

1. Restructure in each country in order to ensure full representation of:

- all forms of dance (professional or amateur, theatrical, ballroom, folk etc.),

- all levels (international, national, regional, local),

- all sectors (companies, schools, ensembles, choreographers, researchers, publications, supplies etc.).

- all fields (education, stage, recreation, therapy, research, management etc.)

2. Establish a computer network to facilitate contacts with the CID and between members.

3. Reinforce the headquarters' secretariat in Paris and create an auxiliary secretariat in Athens.

4. Attract smaller countries to the CID and assist them in making contacts and exchanges within the worldwide dance community.
