<furl:clipping>I was playing around with some of the applications on my Ubuntu desktop over lunch… and trying easter eggs that I’ve been emailed over time. There were quite a few, but these are the ones that I thought were the best. They should work on most flavours of Linux, I’d think.</furl:clipping>

<furl:clipping>I’ve been in the market for some time, looking for a quality laptop that I can install Ubuntu on (in other words Linux Ubuntu compatible) and tweak as I need. Unfortunately, I don’t find much information that shows me which makes and models work…</furl:clipping>

<furl:clipping>I downloaded a file the other day thinking it was in the .iso format, but it turned it to be .img file instead. I couldn’t find any programs that recognized it. I was about to delete the file when I came across some commands that can convert img, nrg and mdf to iso format for easy burning.</furl:clipping>

<furl:clipping>A friend of mine (who’s a recent Linux convert), needed help with some tweaking of his Ubuntu based PC. He phoned me this morning, but it became evident that I actually had to “see” the system. It’s sometimes very hard to advise someone when you cannot actually see what they are doing. And it’s hard to follow instructions (sometimes) when you have to try and find what people are telling you to look for. I’ll bet many of us have been in that position before.</furl:clipping>
